Lilalab Celebrates World Book Day and Earth Day with a Successful Book Swap Event

As part of the PSLifestyle project, Circular Change (one of Lilalab’s main partners) and the City of Ljubljana, hosted an innovative book swap event to commemorate both World Book Day and Earth Day. The event aligned perfectly with Lilalab’s commitment to promoting sustainable and educational initiatives.

The book swap took place on April 22, 2024, at the Mission 100 Info Point in Ljubljana. It was an engaging opportunity for community members to pass on their beloved books to new readers, thereby extending the lifecycle of these valuable resources and reducing waste.

Participants were encouraged to bring books they no longer needed and exchange them for others brought by fellow attendees. This not only fostered a sense of community but also highlighted the importance of reusing resources as a way to contribute to environmental sustainability.

Additionally, the event featured a free service for attendees to calculate their carbon footprints using the PSL web application. This initiative helped raise awareness about individual environmental impacts and encouraged more sustainable lifestyle choices. Let us also mention that our funder, Meta Pezdir, is one of two national PSLifestyle project managers.

We are grateful for the enthusiastic participation and the community spirit shown during the book swap. Events like these reinforce our commitment at Lilalab to fostering educational outreach and environmental awareness.

Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in this meaningful event. Your commitment to sustainability and lifelong learning continues to inspire us.
