The theme of 2026 is AUTHENTICITY.
At once complex and fundamentally simple.
Authenticity is the essence of what is genuine and true. It is what radiates integrity, inspires trust, and sets meaningful change in motion. It is what resonates from one human being to another, from heart to heart. Paradoxically, it is something we rigorously protect through legal frameworks, while simultaneously attempting to replicate it within the digital realm.
Yet an essential question remains: is authenticity still relevant, or even attainable, in an era where digital technologies continually push the limits of what is possible? And if so, how can it be consciously cultivated?
We dedicate the year 2026 to a rigorous exploration of this theme. Through critical reflection on both exemplary and problematic practices, we seek to develop clear, practical principles that support changemakers in grounding authenticity within themselves, their communities, and the work they bring into the world.
